Camions de restauration : la nouvelle fête mobile à Paris

Notre ville ne plaisante pas quand il s'agit de nourriture. Un nouveau mouvement venant de la rue est en train de changer le menu.

Forget boulangeries and brasseries, when it comes to food these days we're keeping our eyes on the road. It's a full-on street food invasion, and we're not complaining. (Well, we are complaining about the queues…)

De LA jusqu'aux Delhi, street food is going mobile. Food trucks are popping up everywhere, and, for the After Hours Athletes of Paris, the food truck scene is the new haute-ness.

Our number one pick? Le Camion qui Fume (The Smoking Truck). Specializing in gourmet hamburgers (made with hand-ground beef) and cooked-to-order fries, they're a must-visit-but be prepared to wait. Most nights the line's at least an hour. Find it every evening on the place de la Madeleine-you'll spot a large and hungry line ahead of its 19:00 opening.

We live in the age of the mashup, and since April Cantine California has been mixing it up on the streets of Paris. This truck is half taqueria, half cupcake shop, all delicious. Would you like to wash down those Carnitas tacos with a milkshake? (Of course you would.)

Taking full advantage of its four wheels, Cantine California makes for a moving target for our teammates. Depending on the day of the week, it can be found all over the city of light. Check out their website to see where they are today.
